Roleplaying Basics

New to forum RPs? Then here's a quick guide.

A forum based RP differs a lot from your video game and pen & paper RPs. The main idea is that it's a collaborative story that you're writing with all of the other players. When you post, you write about your character's actions and dialogue, and then wait for others to post and continue the story. Try and be as detailed as possible with your posts. Describe the environment, how you're character's feeling, etc. Most GMs frown upon short posts.

Some terminology for you all.
RP - Roleplay (obviously.)
GM - Game Master.
OOC - Out of character.
IC - In character.
That's all you really need to know.

And one last thing which I cannot stress enough, GM is God.
